Campus Immersion Tutor - Empowering Students in Austin, TX

SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC is seeking a passionate and qualified Campus Immersion Tutor to work with students in a face-to-face environment at various schools across Austin, TX. As a tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives, develop their academic skills, and foster a love for learning.

About the Role:

• Provide one-on-one academic support to students in a variety of subjects, including Science, Social Studies, Math, and Reading.
• Develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and communicate with parents and teachers as needed.
• Work with students from diverse backgrounds, including migrant students, and demonstrate compassion and empathy.
• Utilize technology, including email, texting, Slack, and Google Sheets/Excel, to stay organized and communicate effectively.

Requirements:

• Eligible to work in the United States with a valid Social Security Number.
• Commitment to tutoring for the duration of the assignment with a possibility of extension.
• Reliable transportation and ability to attend in-person tutoring sessions in a timely and consistent manner.
• Pass a background check.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt and relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
• Own computer and technological savvy.

Ideal Candidate:

• College student with at least 60 hours of credit hours or college graduate (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral degree holder).
• Certified teacher with SBEC or other teacher state licensure certification or retired teacher with SBEC or other teacher state licensure certification.
• Skilled in any grade level of Math, Science, Social Studies, or Reading.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of mentoring, tutoring, or teaching experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
