Key Responsibilities:

• Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, adapting to meet the needs of students with special needs
• Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum, using specialized knowledge to support students with diverse learning requirements
• Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes, providing feedback to inform instruction and support student growth
• Exercise classroom and behavior management skills, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Share your expertise to coach staff and support special education students, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school community

Requirements:

• Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
• Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• Completion of a Background Check for Scoot Education (reimbursed on your first paycheck) and the Colorado Department of Education
