Job Description:

As a Part-Time Security Officer at Home Depot, you will be responsible for:

• Screening SSC security and assisting Home Terminal partners with security and wellbeing-related issues
• Monitoring the SSC complex and investigating strange events
• Conducting incident investigations and interviewing victims and witnesses
• Responding to emergency situations of various types at SSC Atlanta
• Performing security inspection visits and reporting issues to relevant personnel
• Working in the security Control Room
• Screening security checkpoints at SSC and other facilities
• Escorting partners and visitors to parking facilities as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

This role has no direct reports and requires occasional contact outside of the workgroup. Tasks are typically straightforward, and you will be expected to follow detailed rules and guidelines while solving problems. You will also be required to follow instructions closely while performing tasks and will not be expected to deviate from them unless given further instruction.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

This role requires occasional overnight travel (less than 10% of the time) and irregular periods of physical effort, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting materials or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Working Conditions:

You will typically be located in a comfortable indoor area, with occasional exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. The work is typically low-stress with few deadlines or other pressures.
