We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Remote Ocean Strategy Specialist to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As a key player in our ocean product development, you will execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes, enhance carrier development, and analyze carrier performance. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase ocean volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality
• Work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and service issues
• Analyze carrier performance, routings, and service issues to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to communicate strategy, market conditions, and direction
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
• Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results to achieve budget targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry
• Direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong business acumen and leadership skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
