Remote Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure - American Airlines

As a Senior Architect, IT Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to maintain and enhance our environments, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and software development. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to define approach and requirements, develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities, and provide technical guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the technical approach of software and system design of our cloud infrastructure
- Maintain and enhance Kubernetes workload and SAAS artifacts with automation in focus
- Collaborate with product management, business analysts, developers, testers, and architectural teams to define approach and requirements
- Develop and drive high-degree strategic responsibilities and secure commitment from external and internal stakeholders for new initiatives
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and recommendations to teams developing custom and off-the-shelf internet applications and services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice framework/REST development
- 3+ years of experience supporting critical middleware applications
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and software development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Technical leadership experience
- Experience with HELM charts, TDD, and BDD concepts
- Familiarity with PCI compliance standards
