Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, delivering prompt and professional service that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Assist card members with account inquiries, transaction disputes, billing issues, and other service-related matters.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of American Express products and services, helping them maximize their membership benefits.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Utilize various software applications and tools to access customer account information, process transactions, and update records accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex customer issues and escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate channels.
  • Stay informed about American Express products, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information and guidance to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience in a call center or virtual environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to navigate through challenging situations with empathy and patience.
  • Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with basic software applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or relevant certifications a plus.
