Remote Java Developer - Part-Time Opportunity with American Airlines ($28/Hour)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our team at American Airlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement large-scale applications
• Maintain and improve existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development
• Troubleshoot complex issues and identify solutions
• Develop detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates
• Investigate and implement new technologies to improve current processes, security, and performance
• Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 3 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
• 3 years of professional, design, and open-source experience
• Proficiency in Full Stack Development and experience with Java, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, EJB, and other relevant technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 4 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
• Aircraft industry experience
• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps Toolchain, and Cloud-based development
