We're seeking an exceptional Senior Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our infrastructure, network, and underlying components that power our innovative Backlight products. As a key member of our team, you will own significant infrastructure development projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and security while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and security, in an agile environment. You will leverage GitHub for seamless code and infrastructure management, driving robust solutions that propel our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure monitoring and deployment tools, including CI/CD pipeline management, to streamline our operations
• Maintain the health and stability of our production, test, and staging environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Provide expert backend support to investigate and resolve customer issues, delivering exceptional service and support
• Ensure the smooth operation of our cloud platforms, implementing efficient monitoring and troubleshooting strategies
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge infrastructure systems using GitOps, Infrastructure-As-Code, and other advanced technologies
• Optimize database performance (SQL/NoSQL), proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing high-availability solutions
• Contribute to high-level architecture discussions and decision-making, driving project success and technical innovation
• Balance efficient, maintainable code with rigorous review and QA processes, upholding our commitment to quality and excellence

• Manage and maintain version control using Git and GitHub, ensuring seamless collaboration and code management

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues promptly, minimizing operational impact and ensuring business continuity
• Stay at the forefront of emerging DevOps technologies and best practices, integrating improvements and driving technical innovation
• Participate in incident response processes and training exercises, ensuring our team is always prepared and responsive
• Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and contributing to strategic planning sessions that shape our technical vision

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), with a deep understanding of their applications and limitations
• Proficiency in server-side programming languages, particularly Python, with a strong foundation in software development principles
• Experience in database management (SQL/NoSQL), with a focus on performance optimization and high availability
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and version control tools like Git/GitHub, with a commitment to collaborative development and continuous improvement
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to development challenges, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions
• Experience in SaaS product development is highly advantageous, with a understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this space
