Director of Market Insights and Content Strategy

Wealthfront is seeking a highly experienced financial writer, editor, and content strategist to launch and lead a new content vertical within our Consumer Communications Team. The goal of this innovative initiative is to empower young professionals to make informed financial decisions by creating timely, unique, and engaging content that connects macroeconomic news with personal finance goals. The successful candidate will oversee the development of compelling content across various formats and channels, including social media, email, blog posts, and video content. This will involve ideating, creating, and distributing high-quality content that resonates with our target audience, as well as building and managing a team of experienced content creators. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic trends, and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into accessible and engaging content. They will also have experience managing video content production, leading cross-functional teams, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including Social Media, Editorial, Investment Research, Product Marketing, and Compliance teams. As a key member of the Consumer Communications Team, the Director of Market Insights and Content Strategy will play a critical role in inspiring and empowering smart financial decisions through unique and relevant content, ultimately helping Wealthfront become the trusted partner for young professionals to manage and grow their wealth. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Wealthfront's mission and goals
• Create high-quality, timely, and engaging content that connects macroeconomic news with personal finance goals
• Build and manage a team of freelancers and content creators to produce high-quality content across various formats and channels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to distribute content to clients and prospects across our channels
• Evaluate new content formats and distribution channels, and make recommendations on which to pursue
• Partner with internal teams to measure the impact of content and develop strategies to improve outcomes

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience writing and editing timely and engaging financial market and macroeconomic stories at a top-tier news outlet
• Demonstrated experience writing and editing a variety of timely financial content, including newsletters, video scripts, and more
• Proven track record of building and managing a team of writers and content creators to produce high-quality content
• Highly knowledgeable about investing and personal finance strategies, macroeconomic data, and financial trends
• Creative storyteller with expertise in translating financial news and data into unique and digestible content
• Bachelor's degree required

This is a 6-month, full-time temporary role with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position at the end of the 6-month period. The estimated annual salary range is $185,000 - $215,000 USD.
