We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weekend Janitor to join our team at Mennonite Village, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community celebrating 75 years of supporting seniors in our community. As a Weekend Janitor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Job Summary

• Work schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM
• Perform essential janitorial duties, including dry mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and buffing floors
• Maintain floor machines, order supplies, and record completed tasks
• Collaborate with other departments to schedule tasks and ensure seamless operations
• Adhere to safety protocols and follow Materials Safety Data Sheets for handling chemicals

Requirements

• Supportive of the Mennonite Home philosophy
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor maintenance and equipment operation
• Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and communicate effectively in English
• Physical ability to push equipment weighing 80 pounds, stoop, bend, lift, and stand for long periods
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and odors
