Sr. Accounting Analyst

BJC Healthcare Systems is hiring a Sr. Accounting Analyst to conduct audits, work on month end reconciliation, annual budgeting, and create Journal Entries. Our ideal candidate will have their CPA and experience with healthcare and retirement plans. This role is fully remote. We are looking for an independent and experienced accountant who is not afraid to ask questions, but can utilize their experience to solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose Reviews financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles. Provides guidance and direction to other staff. Facilitates special projects and coordinates activities associated with financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains general ledger in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Coordinates the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
• Facilitates with department staff regarding special accounting, financial reporting or analysis projects.
• Provides guidance to staff in absence of manager or supervisor.
• Coordinates the preparation of various regulatory reporting requirements, including audit, tax, cost reporting and surveys.
