Atlas: An Ignite Digital Services Company, is seeking a Junior Accountant in our San Diego, CA office to support the accounting operations for the company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with superior listening, communication, and analytical talents. This position serves an important role in business operations, working as a general ledger accountant and bookkeeper. You will be working directly with the accountant and the accounting manager in supporting accounting operations. This is not a position where you will just learn how to use an accounting system, you will need to apply your knowledge of accounting to problem solve, including investigating balance sheet variances. Requirements:

• GAAP Principles Knowledge, G/L experience, and experience in MS Excel are mandatory.
• A strong candidate will have 1 year of general ledger / bookkeeping experience.
• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of accounting to include T Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Reconciliation Process.
• Candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. An accounting degree with a high GPA may be substituted for work experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in accounting or finance but may be substituted for demonstrated accounting experience and another relevant degree.
