Senior Mobile Engineer

Hybrid – Chicago, IL (1–2 days per week onsite)

Kunai is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer for their client's retail partners team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled mobile engineer who thrives in cross-platform environments and can bridge expertise across iOS, Android, and Web development.

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

• Build SDKs to facilitate iFrame and WebView integrations for partner websites and apps.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure a seamless, non-disruptive customer experience.

• Contribute to Android development with Kotlin/Java.

• Support web-based integrations using Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Leverage AWS cloud services to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices in mobile engineering.

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with a focus on iOS.

• Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

• Strong understanding of SDK design and secure communication patterns in mobile apps.

• Experience integrating mobile solutions into broader partner or enterprise ecosystems.

• Experience with Android development (Kotlin, Java).

• Experience with Front End development (Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript).

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

• Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated industries.
