Focus Areas in Data Platform Teams

Our data platform teams are divided into several focus areas, each with its unique challenges and opportunities:

Data Set Access Stage

The Data Set Access Stage group builds and operates an adaptable query interface that enables data considerations to work at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This group plays a critical role in empowering Netflix microservices to meet their constantly evolving and advancing data needs.

Data Platform Foundation

The Data Platform Foundation group serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our common framework and tooling enable Netflix to rapidly improve on providing cutting-edge data and analytics platforms to the rest of the organization without building tailored platforms for each new framework. To do this, we create high-impact frameworks, control, and organization frameworks that are calibrated for the requirements of running our data platforms at scale.

Data Development and Handling

This group offers a self-service cleared way item to empower varied client personas across Netflix meet their low-latency data development and handling needs; enables reflection throughout complex Constant structures like Kafka and Flink; offers a Pattern-driven handling experience; invests in functional automation, reliability, and tools for predictable data quality.

Huge Data Figure

Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data handling at Netflix. This group is vital to cluster data handling in Data Platform. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're seeking outstanding talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Icy mass, and distributed database frameworks overall.

Huge Data Arrangement

Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing large data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include essential services that have all ETL and ML jobs running on Huge Data Frameworks at Netflix. These completely distributed frameworks are continually advancing for Netflix scale with cutting-edge innovation.

Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems components or applications * Proficiency in the design and development of Tranquil web services * Experienced in building and operating versatile, fault-tolerant, distributed systems * Knowledgeable about Java or other object-oriented programming languages * Multi-threading is a challenge that you're open to handling * BS in Software Engineering or a related field
