Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and security of our customers, their luggage, and our aircraft.
  • Working closely with our ground handling team to ensure that our aircraft are ready for departure, and that our customers' luggage is loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.
  • Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Using our computer systems to track and manage our customers' luggage, ensuring that it is delivered to the correct destination.
  • Working a variety of shifts, including early morning and late evening shifts, to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements

To be successful as a Customer Support Representative at Delta Airlines, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • A valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, up to 70 pounds, on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, safety glasses, and earplugs.

Preferred Qualifications

While a high school diploma or equivalent is required, we prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as aviation, business, or hospitality. Additionally, candidates with experience in customer service, aviation, or a related field are preferred.
