About blithequark and the Role

blithequark is a leading healthcare provider, operating numerous acute-care hospitals and other sites of care across various markets. As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist - Part Time, you'll work closely with our patients, addressing their concerns, and providing timely solutions to their queries. This role is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your medical revenue cycle experience and customer service skills to make a positive impact on our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely Issue Identification and Resolution: Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50% of the role).
  • Workflow Systems Management: Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate accordingly (10%).
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately, providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%).
  • Payment Transactions and Requests: Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%).
  • Administrative Support: Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%).
  • Supervision and Guidance: Work under close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%).

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Essential Experience: 1+ year of medical revenue cycle experience.
  • Preferred Experience: 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience, which will be considered an added advantage.
