Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Entry Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing input of customer and account data from source documents, in text-based and numerical information form
- Organizing information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
- Conducting research to find further information when needed
- Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking output
- Utilizing appropriate data solutions, techniques, and procedures to optimize data entry activities
- Preparing reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations
- Scanning and printing documents as required
- Responding to queries for information and accessing relevant files
- Ensuring adherence to corporate policies of data integrity and security, and maintaining confidentiality of corporate information
- Overseeing the proper usage of office equipment and reporting any problems
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 2+ years' experience working as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
- Solid experience with administrative duties, as well as office equipment usage
- Good practical experience with MS Office and data management software
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Accuracy, high typing speed, and close attention to detail
- Strong organization skills, good responsibility, and confidentiality
- High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be a bonus
