As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll play a critical role in driving our defect elimination program forward by providing insights on customer feedback, creating key performance indicators (KPIs) for our products, and assisting in feature engineering and model development.

About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of Software Developers, Data Engineers, Research Scientists, Economists, Program & Product Managers to design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and more. You'll partner with operations/business teams, economists, and machine learning (ML) teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc.

  • Partner with operations/business teams, economists, and machine learning (ML) teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs.
  • Develop the end-to-end automation of pipelines for applications and ML models.
  • Apply analytical skills to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets.
  • Serve as liaison with business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, requiring data gathering, problem solving, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations.

A Day in the Life

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and collaborate with a diverse team of experts. You'll be responsible for designing and developing scalable, automated systems and reports, as well as partnering with business teams to implement KPIs and data infrastructure improvements. You'll also have the opportunity to work with machine learning models and collaborate with research scientists to develop global issue detection models.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Business Intelligence Engineer at blithequark, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
