As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll be responsible for processing and managing various financial transactions, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. What You'll Do

As a remote customer service representative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing daily tasks related to account processing, including check processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
  • Coordinating with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure smooth transactions
  • Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Working on member cases and sports assigned to you
  • Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
  • Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, financial ruin, and payoff exams
  • Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes and/or returns
  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Completing daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtaining information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
  • Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
  • Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
  • Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
  • Depositing check returns, reviewing member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, verifying members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
  • Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and prison fees

What You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high-pressure conditions
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams

Skills and Competencies

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through both work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and performance records
