Position: Senior Android Developer (Remote) Description - External Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Android Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together in order to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and test rich, interactive customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine software requirements.
  • Lead coding efforts for specific modules or features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in native iOS and/or Android development.
  • Proficiency in native iOS and/or Android programming languages (Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin).
  • Strong understanding of mobile development methodologies and best practices.
  • Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
