Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative on our Patient Registration team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience. You'll work closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather and verify patient information, answer questions, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information about hospital policies, procedures, and services

  • Gather and verify patient information, including demographic data, insurance details, and medical history
  • Use computer systems and workflow orchestration tools to manage patient registration, including checking patients in and out of the hospital
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other hospital staff to resolve patient issues and concerns
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and communication
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with computer systems and workflow orchestration tools
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion

* Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with patients and families in multiple languages
