Lead Presales Consultant DACH
Responsibilities in consulting
- Partner with Sales to identify high-level business value and functional requirements as part of opportunity qualification
- Demonstrate product functionality and capabilities onsite and in remote sessions for existing customers, partners, and prospects
- Create and deliver detailed use-case presentations in combination with product demonstrations
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers by selling outcomes and experience—not just features
- Coordinate customer evaluations with a clear focus on business impact
- Draft responses to RFIs/RFPs and support proposal creation in collaboration with Sales and technical teams
- Coordinate and deliver proof-of-concepts, demonstrating tailored capabilities and functionality onsite and remotely
- Together with Sales and Delivery, run transition briefings to communicate commitments, expectations, and next steps in preparation for deployment
· Align with partners, project management, and customers on product options, outcomes, and decisions
Leadership responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities above, the Leading Presales Consultant leads a team of Presales Consultants supporting opportunities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Team leadership responsibilities include:
- Act as a thought leader and sparring partner for the team
- Drive internal processes and contribute to strategic initiatives
- Represent the interests of the team and customers across the organization
- Continuously improve team activities and strengthen alignment with other departments
Additional Responsibilities and Duties
- Stay current on product developments and releases to the level required for demonstrations and solution leadership
- Maintain an up-to-date competitive analysis and articulate differentiators versus key competitors
- Support events such as conferences, roadshows, technical workshops, and webinars
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business and technical challenges addressed by the solution, including key regulations, business drivers, evolving needs, and security requirements
- Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Channel, Sales, and other relevant departments
- Act as a liaison with Product Management and Development, sharing feedback from customers, partners, and prospects
- Experience with ITSM/ITIL is preferred, including cloud computing knowledge (e.g., Azure, AWS). Familiarity with IT Operations Management, automation/orchestration, and hybrid cloud management is a plus
- Strong architecture and design experience with Enterprise Service Management solutions, products, and industry best practices and trends
- Solid understanding of SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, cloud computing (public, private, and hybrid), and service orchestration/automation
- A reliable leader with strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Home-office based in Germany
- Willingness to travel as required
- Professional communication and presentation skills in German and English
