Why This Role Matters – The Heartbeat of Cargo Handling

Every piece of baggage, mail, and cargo that touches the tarmac at our ATL hub passes through the hands of our ramp professionals. As a Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent), you are the frontline guardian of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your actions directly influence on‑time performance, protect valuable shipments from damage, and ensure that every flight departs with confidence. This is an entry‑level position designed to launch a rewarding career in aviation operations, with mentorship and development pathways built into every shift.

Core Responsibilities – What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo safely between aircraft and the terminal, handling items up to 70 pounds with precision.
  • Guide aircraft to and from gate positions, coordinating with pilots and ground crew to maintain timely connections.
  • Protect shipments from damage, loss, and weather exposure by using proper handling techniques and protective equipment.
  • Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, navigating congested ramp areas with safety‑first mindset.
  • Utilize baggage scanners and computer systems to accurately route items to their final destinations, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment, report hazards, and adhere to all arenaflex safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with teammates across multiple shifts to maintain a smooth flow of operations, sharing best practices and supporting one another.
  • Adapt to variable weather conditions—heat, rain, snow, or wind—while maintaining high performance and safety standards.

Schedule & Work Hours

Shifts are driven by operational demand and can range from early mornings to overnight hours. Depending on seniority and flight schedules, you will work between 20 and 40 hours per week. Flexibility is key, but arenaflex offers predictable shift patterns and a supportive team environment to help you balance work and personal life.
