Job Summary ? The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining... high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization ? The SPD Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, Central Processing and the facility as a whole while practicing above average customer service ? Performs duties as a SPD Technician independently, works proficiently without supervision and is qualified to train new employees ? Works in conjunction with the Pharmacy to re-supply crash carts with IV fluids and medications ? Serves as a resource to all CSSPD customers ? Also responsible for cleaning, issuing patient care equipment and supplies. #NRHSS

Qualifications

Education ? High school education or the equivalent. Experience ? Must be Certified through the HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD with the CRCST or CSPDT credential respectively ? 1 year minimum sterile processing experience required. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Schedule ? 13 week assignment, with possibility of renewal. ? 2230-0700, Mon-Fri, with Rotating Weekends and Holidays. ? no benefits. Certification ? Must be certified in Sterile Processing.
