The Disney+ Global Subscriber Engagement and Content Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

What You Will Do

The Content Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning of on-service live events, streams, and promotional assets. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with several teams, including Content Studios, Linear Networks, Distribution Operations, International Programming, Marketing, and Communications. This position reports into the Sr. Manager, Content Planning. Responsibilities • Manage live events, streams, and promotional assets on Disney+ with designated Studios and Networks, working closely with programming teams, operations, and US-based Global and International teams to execute, track, and report on these initiatives through the lifecycle of planning to live on service. • Responsible for maintaining daily communication and positive relationships with Studios, Networks, Operations, Marketing, Comms, and Programming teams. • Convey overall live and streams strategies into data-informed summaries and high-level presentations for executives and internal stakeholders. • Represent Disney+ Content Planning & Scheduling in meetings with a professional and enthusiastic demeanor. • Handle any challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and act as project manager for ad hoc requests and deliverables as they arise. Required Qualifications & Skills • 3+ years of experience in live events, linear scheduling, content strategy, curation, lifecycle planning, and/or project management, preferably in digital media and entertainment. SVOD or Linear TV experience is desired. • Skilled in identifying opportunities for improving title planning and recommending impactful business solutions. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Diplomatic mindset with a proven track record of effective teamwork in matrixed organizations. • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities, with effective time management for oneself and others. • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit. • Quick to adapt to new technologies and evolving organizations, thriving in fast-paced environments. • Passionate about The Walt Disney Company’s segments, brands, and franchises, with expertise in enhancing audience engagement. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SVOD or linear TV is preferred. • Familiarity with live operations is a plus. • Proficient in Airtable and other content planning tools. Required Education • Bachelor’s degree The hiring range for this position in CA is $85,800.00 to $115,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
