Remote Staff Accountant | WFH Opportunity

Key Responsibilities • Prepare financial statements by meticulously gathering and evaluating data from clients and relevant departments. • Accurately record client inventories and transactions for every accounting period. • Troubleshoot software-related issues and partner with clients to ensure seamless data integration into accounting systems. • Code and import banking transactions with precision. • Maintain clear and accurate records for petty cash, deposits, and all financial transactions. • Facilitate effective cash flow management for clients utilizing appropriate tools. • Reconcile and document assets, liabilities, expenses, sales, and costs of goods. • Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial reports to implement necessary accruals and adjustments. • Prepare, audit, and file various tax forms, along with handling other required filings. • Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies with external agencies. • Respond clearly and concisely to client inquiries regarding financial data and reports. • Support special projects as directed by management. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. • A minimum of one year of experience in a general ledger accountant role is essential. • Experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous (FOH, BOH, Management). • Candidates with over five years of accounting experience, even without a degree, will be considered. • Comfort with utilizing cloud-based systems and software for daily tasks is required (training will be provided). • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed, resulting in potential overtime.
