Job title: LVN/MA | Part Time Company: Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care Job description: Job description Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care is searching for Experienced Medical Assistant or LVN for their Webster Clinic Apply Now in less than 3 minutes Video Clip 1: Dr Clark Talks About Why She Enjoys Working at NightLight About the Position: LVN/MA | Part Time As an LVN or MA with Nightlight Pediatric Urgent Care, your clinical responsibilities will also include checking and recording the patient’s vitals, inputting necessary information in the EMR, collecting samples, as well as calculating and administering medications and vaccinations. Due to the young age of our patients, you will need to be able to take into account their immature physiology when considering symptoms, calculating medications, and performing care. Additionally, you will need to be able to maintain medical supplies, inventory, and samples and organize these within provided work stations and designated storage areas. Because we are a pediatric urgent care, you will need to be used to a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining the patience and compassion necessary to care for young patients and their caregivers during this stressful time. If you have an NCT license, you will meet with the patient and their caregiver to discuss the patient’s medical history and answer any questions they may have prior to imaging. Following this, they will position the patient and equipment in a way that protects the patient’s safety. You will also need to be able to explain the X-ray procedure and positioning to parents that may be under high stress. Due to the young age of our patients, you will need to have experience with pediatric patient positioning using a Viztek Straight-Arm X-ray machine and soothing any fears or concerns of the young patient and their caregiver.
