Dispatch/Logistics Coordinator - Ready-Mix Concrete

Job Summary: The Ready-Mix Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the delivery of ready-mix concrete to customers, ensuring timely and efficient service while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves scheduling deliveries, managing logistics, and effectively communicating with customers, drivers, and the sales team. Commensurated with Experience Key Responsibilities: • Order Management: Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accurate entry into the dispatch system. Obtain necessary details such as product specifications, delivery times, and job site locations. • Delivery Scheduling: Coordinate with production and yard personnel to schedule deliveries, considering factors like truck capacity, delivery distances, and unloading times to optimize efficiency. • Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, drivers, and internal teams. Address customer inquiries, resolve delivery issues, and provide updates on order status. • Logistics Coordination: Assign drivers to deliveries, monitor delivery progress, and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or address issues. ? • Documentation: Generate and manage delivery tickets, invoices, and other necessary documentation. Ensure all records are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.? • Quality Assurance: Monitor delivery quality and address any service-related concerns promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.? • Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to company policies and relevant regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.? Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required • Experience: role within the construction materials industry preferred. Ready mix experience is a plus. ? Skills: • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.? • Proficient in computer systems, including dispatch software • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.? • Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
