We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Laboratory Assistant to support our Network Systems & Engineering Technology department at our Lakeland campus. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance, maintaining lab environments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain physical and virtual lab environments as requested by faculty
- Provide technical assistance to students working on assignments and projects
- Aid in creating network scenarios and simulating real-world situations to support student learning
- Assist the Network Manager with resource allocation, scheduling, and ensuring fair access to lab facilities
- Provide tutoring assistance as needed and maintain effective communication with students, faculty, and staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred: at least one year of clerical experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and human relations skills
- Ability to work well with others, maintain confidentiality, and establish effective rapport with faculty, students, and staff
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
