We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructional Assistant - Guided Studies to join our team at New Trier. - Provide individualized and group instruction to students in a classroom setting, focusing on achieving course expectations.
- Assist students with note-taking, computer use, and other school-related tasks.
- Collaborate with certified staff to provide targeted interventions and support student progress.
- Maintain clear communication with staff and students, ensuring seamless coordination of student services.
- Participate in professional growth activities to enhance job performance and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Possession of Illinois Professional Educator License with Stipulations – Paraprofessional, Substitute Teaching License, or Professional Educator License.
- Knowledge of high school students' needs and behavior issues.
- Experience working with special needs/at-risk student populations.
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) protocols and practices.
- Strong subject knowledge in core academic areas.
- Excellent behavior management and interpersonal skills.
