Job Description

As a Professional Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on accuracy and efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to read and enter data from various customer service documents, including work orders, shipping orders, and other relevant documents, into our computer systems. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that the data is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

* Read and decipher customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via print catalog, and online

  • Key data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, with a focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Read and enter data from other source documents, such as invoices and receipts
  • Verify the accuracy of data before entering it into the system
  • Ensure that data is consistent throughout the system, including updating customer information and addresses
  • Report any data errors or anomalies to your supervisor
  • Maintain accurate and updated logs of ongoing work
  • Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties for approximately three hours per day
  • Spend approximately five hours daily on data entry keying

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

* Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Patience and attention to detail for repetitive work

Preferred Qualifications

* Reading knowledge of English (approximately 5-10% of orders may be in Spanish)

  • One to two years of experience with data entry and/or filing
  • Social perceptiveness and service orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
